Here is live response from Lou Engle and IHOP in KC. I thought this would be a good follow up to the heart of those that were involved in this. It may answers some questions that the media hyped up.

I am a husband, father of three beautiful girls. I believe that through Christ we are to be cultivators of change in our lives, relationships and communities. I love to fish, hunt, watch sports, and just have fun! This blog represents my personal opinions, thoughts and ideas and are not any sort of official position or statement from Church at the Gate.

These are certainly interesting times we're living in....
While I really don't know what is happening in the video or know the reference this is in regard to - I can see the evidence of the truth and reality of Christ.
Thanks for posting.
I've been pondering this for several days. I believe that these young people's hearts were to share the love of Jesus with these people, however, you can certainly see the clash of two kingdoms!
The thing that gripped my heart was the men chanting, "shame on you". It it clear that they didn't feel loved they felt "shamed". It was just another example of others condemning them.
I have been searching to find an answer and found Jesus' words in Matthew 7:6, Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
He wasn't calling people pigs, he was acknowledging their indifference to what is sacred and holy. It reminded me of Lot in Sodom, after living there who knows how long, not one person other than his family left with him, it appears not one was converted by his living among them. Their hearts were closed, and all Lot's "righteous" living did not change their hearts.
